Viridis Safety provides independent monitoring, analysis and reporting services. Our workplace monitoring will provide you with the peace of mind that your employees' workplace exposure to hazards (dust, noise, hazardous substances, hand/arm vibration) are within acceptable limits, or an action plan to quickly bring the level down to an acceptable limit.
Workplace exposure limits are governed by HSE regulations.
By combining personal continuous air sampling and activity monitoring Viridis Safety will help you ensure that your employees' exposure to dust is beneath the relevant workplace exposure limit and will identify the activities and locations where exposure is highest. Our report will also include advice on how exposure can be reduced.
A noise monitoring survey from Viridis Safety assess your employees exposure to noise and will help you comply with the new Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
A wide variety of work environments have problems with high levels of noise, from manufacturing units, to warehouses to office and leisure environments.
A Viridis Safety Noise Report will map your work area showing areas of excessive noise, will recommend the most suitable control methods to reduce noise levels, and, if personal protective equipment is required, it will enable you to select the most appropriate hearing protection for your staff.
Personal hazardous substances monitoring
A personal hazardous substance assessment from Viridis Safety will measure the quantities and concentrations of airborne hazardous substances your employees are exposed to and will help you ensure that these do not exceed the permitted work exposure limit.
Our report will show activities we have identified as those where employees are at most risk and make recommendations on what action can be taken to reduce exposure.
Hand/arm and whole body vibration assessments
Hand/arm vibration caused by the regular use of vibrating and percussive tools is the source of painful and disabling conditions of the nerves, blood vessels and joints.
Whole body vibration is usually associated with the use of mobile machines like fork lift trucks, quarrying and earth moving equipment particularly if they are driven over rough or uneven ground. Whole body vibration can result in debilitating back pain and other health conditions.
A vibration assessment from Viridis Safety will enable you to ensure that the hand/arm and whole body vibration is within permitted levels. Our report will assess the levels your employees are exposed to and, where necessary, will recommend improvements to help you reduce these levels.
Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing
Your local exhaust ventilation must be tested every fourteen months for you to be compliant with The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations. An LEV test from Viridis Safety will help you remain compliant with COSHH and will allow you to take action if your LEV is not providing sufficient protection for your employees.
